Read MoreAs a designer, patternmaker, and product developer with five years of CLO3D experience and having completed many CLO courses and live training sessions over the years this is the course I wish had existed when I first started out. Learning CLO on your own is possible, but it's slow and full of unnecessary detours. After half a decade of building workflows from scratch and troubleshooting through trial and error, I can say with confidence: this course would have saved me an enormous amount of time and effort. As a proficient CLO user who has seen a lot of what's out there, I don't say that lightly. What sets this course apart is how thoughtfully it's structured. It's not just a beginner's guide, it's genuinely valuable for professional patternmakers who want to learn CLO the right way from day one, adopting smart, effective workflows rather than picking up bad habits along the way. Most importantly, you'll be learning from someone who truly understands both the digital and physical sides of garment development. That ability to translate between the two worlds is rare, and it makes the learning far more applicable to real-world production. Whether you're picking up CLO for the first time or looking to level up as a professional, this course is an investment worth making.

CLO Pattern Pro includes x3 IDES pattern blocks valued at over A$90. These resources are used in the course teachings and can be used freely as blocks going forward.
The IDES Male T-Shirt Block Size L (40"/102cm chest) is a classic, relaxed t-shirt block. The CLO blocks are used to learn the basics of garment building and editing. They include custom, corresponding avatars and can be used going forward for creating your own patterns.
The IDES Female Button Down Shirt Block is a classic, dartless button down silhouette. The course includes the PDF pattern in full size range, US 0-16/AU 4-20. It comes in print-at-home, A0, projector and Adobe Illustrator formats. This pattern is used to learn more advanced garment building and detailing in the course and can be used as you wish going forward.
The IDES Female Boxy Tee Block Size M (35.5"/90.3cm bust) is a boxy, relaxed silhouette. The CLO blocks are used to learn the basics of garment building and editing. They include custom, corresponding avatars and can be used going forward for creating your own patterns.

It's a lot, but this makes the information stick well. 3D never felt logical to me before, but this course has helped me enormously to get the hang of it. The videos are concise, but packed with information and there is a good structure. To be able to follow along properly, I occasionally had to lower the speed of a video or pause it, because there’s so much information. It’s clear that Isabel has a lot of experience in training people in CLO. She understands the learning process and explains things clearly. The highlights that are listed in each lesson are GOLD! They make it easy to quickly find information when needed. You don't have to be an expert in patternmaking or 3D to take this course, I'm just a beginner myself. If you have a basic understanding of sewing patterns, you’re good to go. I can't wait to apply the knowledge I gained in the CPP course to the patternmaking course I’m currently taking. This is really going to accelerate my learning process!

You're a 3D beginner, looking for a start-to-finish course in CLO that focuses on pattern making and fit
You design and create your own sewing patterns, either by hand or in Adobe Illustrator
You sew and are interested in pattern hacking, grading between sizes, or testing garments before sewing
You've tried to learn 3D before, but it didn't quite click for your pattern or sewing process
You describe yourself as "hands-on" or "not a very tech-y person", but want to improve your garment making process digitally
You have no experience with any of these 3 things: fit, garment making or pattern making
You don't use any software or digital apps for anything and aren't excited about the idea of incorporating it into your garment making process
You're only concerned about the visual outputs from CLO and do not care about fit or pattern accuracy
You want to learn advanced rendering, AI tools or animation
You want to learn pattern making and/or how to grade patterns (this course does not teach pattern making or grading from scratch, but rather teaches you how to translate those skills into CLO)

Read MoreI’d highly recommend this CLO3D course. It’s a really detailed, methodical, inspiring and educational course that gives a great overview of the software while also exploring some more advanced techniques in depth. It really opens your eyes to what’s possible in CLO, whether that’s drafting patterns from specs, creating sewing instructions and technical visuals, or even building custom hardware details. You can also tell the course has been created by someone with a lot of real experience in pattern cutting, sewing, fitting and digital workflows, which makes the teaching feel very practical and grounded in real product development. The course is clear, easy to follow and well structured, with some great handouts included throughout. A really valuable course for anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of digital garment development and the wider possibilities within CLO3D.
